** Thank you Carrie for your enthusiasum in getting the ball rolling, organizing and setting a date for this years Christmas party.8)

Everyone is invited to the annual South Christmas party, Sat. Dec 5 around 2:00. This year it will be held at the home of Daryl & Tracy South in Oxford, MS. (not far from Donnis & Laura). I will post a map with their address on this site. Donnis & Laura have graciously offered their home to anyone needing to stay over night as well as Daryl & Tracy. Also, there is plenty of room in Memphis for anyone wanting to stay as well.

For all that are attending this years party please bring a good size main dish or dessert or both and a 2 liter drink. We are expecting a large crowd. If you will comment on what dish you are bringing that will cut down on having two of the same kind of dishes. (For all the LA people, how do you spell gumbo?)HA! Just kidding, only if you have time and want to bring some.

In the past we have played the "Stingy Santa gift swap" game and it has always been the life of the party. This year will be no different. For anyone wanting to play please bring a $8 to $10 gift. There always seems to be one gift that everybody wants but remember if you steal it the third time around it's yours HA! It will be a blast!

We are also going to have lots of small to young teen children at the party. A couple of us were wanting to have some inexpensive gifts for them to open, (maybe $1 store). We were thinking maybe the grandparents of the children that would be there could bring some small wrapped gifts for them and they could have a time of opening some gifts also. This is just a suggestion so please post your comments on whatever you think would be good.

If I have forgotten something please add it on. I may not have everyone's email address, so if you know a family member that doesn't have this website please send it to them so they can have access and be informed. Can't wait to see everyone!

Welcome!

Hey everyone!

My mom (Lisa) had the great idea of creating this blog so we can all post suggestions and information about the Christmas party. This might be a bit easier than everyone e-mailing and calling. I will create some topics and you can post the details underneath as a comment.

We can set it up to where you can send me your e-mail address and I can add you as an author so you can create posts.

This will also be a great way to keep in touch even after the Christmas party is over!
